Every Dated Verification Record carries a reference number on its Certificate of Verification (or scan the QR code there). Enter it to confirm the record is on file with Carrier Archive, then compare the recorded fingerprint with the file you hold.
What this checks: that a record with this reference number is in our append-only ledger, and that the fingerprint recorded for it when it was issued matches the file you hold. A fingerprint changes if one character of the file changes, which is what makes a record tamper-evident and independently verifiable. FMCSA files checked 2026-10-28.
